Strangely enough, I can't wear silver at all. I wear them for a few hours and my ears get red and sore. Overnight and I'm dealing with pus all over the place. It's icky. (I know this because I lost an earring back once and had to replace it. Only to find out the replacement was silver.)

I can wear gold (yellow or white) or stainless steel, but that's about it. I tend to lean toward gold, most of the time.
