Lazy Morning

I let myself sleep in this morning and didn't get up out of bed until 7:30 am. I feel somewhat guilty about this, but the last few weeks I've been training a new night baker and suffering from a sinus infection and feeling like I had no energy at all. I know I should get lots of rest to heal myself, but I still feel guilty about being such a slug.

I've now finished my breakfast and am cruising the internet until my laptop battery gives out. When that happens I'll get dressed, write the day's to-do list, and get moving. MASSIVE DISHWASHING, bill-paying, washing clothes, writingwritingwriting... I should schedule in something fun, like starting garden seeds, as a reward.

Speaking of gardening: I acquired a mini rose bush this week. It was in the local grocery store's Valentine clearance bin at only $5, so I grabbed it. It's one of the larger mini's, the bloom is almost floribunda-sized, with a classic tea rose form and a deep red color. No scent to speak of (modern roses=fail), but at least it looks nice. I can't decide if I want to keep it as a container plant or put it out in the garden. Of course, it's February so I have time to think it over!

I've just been informed I'm running on reserve power. Time to post and get out of here!
