As an aside, it is a source of constant amusement to me that the main city for my faction in the MMO I'm currently playing (Aion, the game of winged bishounen with improbable weapons) has a constant gentle stream cherry blossoms fluttering past on the breeze, from no discernible source...
I think I have the answer. In the Big Eyes Small Mouth RPG, characters can buy a power that generates atmospheric effects (for drama). My friend Karin's bishi had enough levels in it that he could summon a gentle rain of cherry blossom petals at will. Clearly there are levels left for you to unlock! ;-)
