Friday morning two of my bakery employees came into work extra-early; that is, before 7 am. For reasons I'm not bothering to go into they were concerned that the Friday bread-bagging wouldn't happen in a timely manner, so without waiting for orders from me, or indeed even letting me know what they were planning, they just showed up early and got stuff done.
I need to work on becoming a better manager, so that I deserve loyalty like that. I don't know how I am going to do it, but it needs to happen.
