Not a good week
Dec. 7th, 2006 08:06 pmMy week started out promising enough: the smorgesbord was tasty and the company was delightful. Things have gone down hill since then. The story I'm trying to write refuses to cooperate, in looking over my LJ for something else I've been reminded of the illogical and inefficient way I process anger, and my bakery production plans for the bakery are not coming together.
But worst of all, today I lost my favorite hat. It was black, with a low, sculpted crown and a flat brim that was just large enough. It was perfectly in proportion to my height and I'll never find one like it.
I might have lost it on the bus this morning, and some kind soul might have turned it over to the bus driver. (Don't laugh--this is Nebraska, these things still happen sometimes.) I'll call Startran tomorrow for the sake of closure but I'm not really pinning any hopes on it. Darn it! I loved that hat. And I still have that story to finish.
