All dragons? Or just the fire breathing kind? Or just the red coloured ones? Perhaps green dragons' breath should smell like spearmint. Black could have a hint of anise. White could be cool refreshing peppermint, like a York. Hmmm, blue... blueberry would be too cliche'. Given that it is a jolt of lightning, perhaps it should smell like cola. Of course, this is assume the pseudo-classic Dungeons and Dragons chromatic dragon archetypes.
Anyway, I do like the though of a fire-breathing dragon having cinnamon-scented breath. Something oddly reassuring or soothing about it.
That's an interesting thought, because I don't think dragons should be soothing at all. They should be scary, the way angels are scary.
I don't think of angels as being scary, but more like awesome... as in the most truest sense of the word before the 1980s got a hold of it (and performed upon it most unspeakable acts). I think the same would be true of dragons. The only scary ones would be those who want you to fear it.
But a huge winged beast with charnel breath is certainly more frightening than one with cinnamon breath. :)
