Reminder: Wear Red Day!
Jan. 26th, 2009 07:05 amToday is the 26th of January. This means February 6st is just around the corner. Why is that important, you ask?
February 6 is National Wear Red Day--a day established to bring awareness of the importance of heart health to women. Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in American women, and most never know they are at risk until it is too late. If you are a woman, you can learn about how to lower your risk here, courtesy of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. If you are a man, send the women in your life these links, so that they can educate themselves. Whatever you are, WEAR RED AND SPREAD THE WORD!
Edit: This year it is Feb 6th, not the 1st. Color me red(-faced)!
