I just finished checking the National Weather Service website and it looks like we'll be having 80 F days all week, maybe into next week. This makes me very happy, as my tomatoes are really late this year and a long warm fall is my best hope for a decent crop. My grape tomato has been yielding a handful of tomatoes every other day, more or less, but I have yet to harvest from my beefsteak tomatoes or my bell peppers.
Meanwhile, my lone eggplant has one shapely fruit on it. I should think of some way to cook it tonight, because I think it is ripe. Maybe I'll team it up with my last Yukon Gold potato and make a vegetable curry. (I love curries; they are a great way of using up vegetable odds and ends.)
